This summer an exciting and eclectic exhibition on the theme of ‘small’ will run at 44AD artspace in Bath from 4–10 August. Featuring six established artists, working in different disciplines, the exhibition is a collaboration between four British artists, all members of the Bath Society of Artists: Malcolm Ashman, Tim Carroll, Rob Grieve and Geoff Shillito with their guests Inger Karthum from Norway and Christine Reinckens from Germany.

The six artists involved are all consummate professionals in their fields, and the show will feature a mixture of limited edition quirky and often humorous lino and woodcuts from Rob Grieve, exquisite small still life and figurative oil paintings from Geoff Shillito, vibrant and exotic figurative work from Tim Carroll; Christine Reincken’s figures loom mysteriously from compressed spaces, while Inger Karthum and Malcolm Ashman’s collaborations on mixed media and found materials reflect their travels, as does Inger’s own work. Malcolm Ashman’s well-known lyrical landscapes and abstracted portraits complete this exhilarating sextet’s offerings.

Marc is currently taking part in a new exhibition at Beaulieu with about 45 sculptors showing 150 works. He has 5 pieces in total showing 3 large heads outside and two small figure pieces indoors, so do drop by to see all these exhibits in this amazing setting….
