Annual Open Exhibition

The Exhibition, open to non-members, is held in the Victoria Art Gallery every year. It is the highlight of the Society’s calendar and a big social event not just for Bath's artistic community, but also for others in the wider locality.

Our 120th Open Exhibition will run from Saturday 18th October 2025 until Saturday 10th January 2026 at the Victoria Art Gallery, Bridge Street, Bath BA2 4AT. (See www.victoriagal.org.uk for opening times and ticket prices).

The Open call for entries is closed at present and will open for submissions on Tuesday 1st July 2025 at 9.00 am. Once the submission is open, all non-members will be able to access OESS using the following link: https://bathsocietyofartists.oess1.uk/

Members will be issued with a different URL this year.

1st stage notifications: Midday Tues 16th September 2025

Handing in day’s: Fri 10th (Members & Couriers) & Sat 11th (Non-members) Oct 2025

Selection day: 8.30am – 4.45pm, Sun 12th October 2025

Gallery selected work notifications: 5.00pm Tues 14th October 2025

Judging of awards: 1.00 to approx. 3.30 pm on Thurs 16th Oct 2025

Preview evening: Fri 17th Oct (bookings via VAG) 4.30-6.00pm; 6.00-7.30pm (Presentation); and 7.30-8.30pm.
