Annual Open Exhibition
The Exhibition, open to non-members, is held in the Victoria Art Gallery every year. It is the highlight of the Society’s calendar and a big social event not just for Bath's artistic community, but also for others in the wider locality.
Our 121st Open Exhibition will open on 19th September until 7th November and submissions will begin again on 3rd June 2026.

Online entry opens: 9.00 am Wed 3rd June 2026
Non-member online entry closes: 5.00 pm Wed 29th July 2026
Non-member 1st stage notifications: Midday Wed 19th August 2026
Members entries close: 5.00pm Wed 26th August 2026
Handing in day’s: Fri 11th & Sat 12th September 2026
Selection day: Sun 13th September 2026, from 8.30am – 4.45pm
Gallery selected work notifications: Tues 15th September 2026 at 5.00pm
Judging of awards: Thurs 17th Sept from 1.00 to 3.30 pm (incl. a buffet lunch)
Preview evening: Fri 18th Sept 2026 bookings for 4.30-6.00pm; 6.00-7.30pm (Presentation); and 7.30-8.30pm slots.
Commencement of exhibition: 10.30 am on Sat 19th September 2026
Handing back non-selected work: 10.30-4.30pm on Sun 20th, Mon 21st & Tues 22nd Sept ‘26
Exhibition ends: 5.00 pm on Saturday 7th November 2026
Collection of unsold work: 10.30-4.30pm Sun 8th & Mon 9th November 2026
